Latest News - Seven Protesters arrested at Tara today, four jailed.

Seven protesters were arrested at Tara today for interfering with traffic, machinery, building sites and Breaches of the Peace.

As I write they are appearing in Navan District Court, Navan, County Meath, Ireland.
They might be dealt with severely as Navan and Meath people are not known to be emlightened !

But for the local population of Meath threatening politicians with their votes, Tara would not be destroyed by this M3 motorway.

URGENT NEWS, BREAKING NEWS, TARA PROTESTERS JAILED IN IRELAND THIS EVENING.

TARA PROTESTERS JAILED TODAY !

Four of the seven Tara-M3 Protesters were jailed today when they refused to give an undertaking to the Court to stay away and not interfere with the M3 motorway building sites and machinery at Tara.
Three other people were remanded on bail to the next sitting ofNavan District Court, County Meath, Ireland.

Reputable Irish Druids no not accept money for courses, healing, rites of passage etc - these sevices are given free to the public, only expenses, such as for travel, accommodation, food etc are accepted.

By all means you can acknowledge services to you by an Irish Druid with a gift or service, food or drink, or even barter, but never with money.

"Druid Courses" offered over the Internet should be first checked out with the Office of the Registrar of Services, Archdruid of Ireland, email DruidEire@cablenet.ie

Marxists, Marketing and Sloganeering

The Irish and British not Celtic - yes, it's authentic.

I read the study of that scientific survey based on DNA, throughout Ireland and Britain.

And I thoroughly agree with the findings.

Today's Druid Orders (not our ODI) have rituals with no foundations, and depend on sloganeering and buzz words. Archdruid McGrath says that sloganeering is typical anarchist activity, with use of buzz words like Celtic, Marxism and marketing have much in common. Selling something useless, vastly overpriced.

I feel that it is an insult to my intelligence when someone offers me a slogan, as slogans are offered to people as an alternative to Thinking.

Many people are far to well educated to be taken in by sloganeering, Marxism or marketing, I think this is a great step forward in human evolution.

Sorry about all those "Celtic Druidic" books and courses. They're just so much drivel now on view of the latest scientific discoveries. . All mine are off to the Charity shop.

I look forward to a a credible book, though, on non-Celtic Druidry by Michael McGrath.

THE IRISH AND BRITISH NOT CELTIC

Recent in-depth mass scientific population analysis throughout Ireland and Britain prove that the Irish/British peoples are not Celtic.

The Celts never came to Ireland or Britain in numbers. There was never a Celtic invasion of Ireland.

Such in-depth scientific studies prove that the vast majority of the present Irish descend directly from the "pre-Celtic" inhabitants of Ireland. Similarly in the case of Britain.

So we descend directly from the pre-Celtic peoples who built Newgrange and Stonehenge, Great News ! And this is almost incontrovertible evidence that the Druids originated in Ireland, Britain too.

No other Druid Order or group in the world today has ever realised or known this - and they still live inside The Celtic Myth. Several years ago the Archdruid of Ireland announced this , but his was a voice lost amid a world scenario of "Celtic" and "Druidic" book writers, making a lot of money, and therefore, understandably, they didn't want to know.

There is an Irish "Celtic" "Druidic" website that proposes to make you a Druid, for a fat fee. Every second word on that site is "Celtic", it's Celtic this and Celtic that, even "our Own Celtic Irish language" is used to impress you, to part you from your money for reams of useless printed paper.

Now I am fluent in the Irish language, so I'd love to know what this "Celtic Irish Language" is - just in case I missed something ?

Hello Friends, this is Michael McGrath. I wish to thank the publishers of this site for permitting me to address you on behalf of the Free Druids of Ireland.

Many if you will know that we, the Druids of Ireland, have been under constant attack, intense attack in fact since last October. Of course we have been under attack for several years now, by one crowd in 1997, and now by a different and much smaller group, thankfully.

As a result much of our good work has been interrupted. The attacks have abated somewhat now so we look forward to resuming all our own services and activities again throughout the summer.

Thank You all for being so understanding, thank you, followers, for your great loyalty and support. Druidry in Ireland is all the better for you. It will not be forced this way or that. It will grow, organically, as the Spirit of Druidry wisely dictates.

Druidry does not belong to this or that political wing, it does not, in Ireland, have this politics or that politics, it most certainly is not there to be used and abused by the Hard Left. Druidry does not recognise any political path, it is aligned with no political movement of the Left, Centre or Right. It is therefore wrong to try to label any Druid with any political label, no matter how much you may hate, despise or detest him or her, such behaviour is not Druidic, and any man or woman who indulges in it is not a Druid.

It mitigates against team work, and this, to my mind , is the way ahead for Druidry in Ireland. It matters not if you are the Archdruid of Tara or Timbucktoo, you are expected to be a good team player, and as you progress along the path, a good team leader. Looks or charm (though I am assured I have both in abundance, lol ) do not come into it either - if you think that way, try Hollywood or your local TV studio - Druidry would be too humiliating a path for you. "Poverty, Chastity and Obedience" are good virtues in any Druid., so using Druidry to promote your new age business and attract clients is not the Druid Way at all.

Teamwork will assist greatly in mainstreaming Druidry in Ireland, especially, as I have striven to bring Druidry in out of the cold and into the cities and towns of Ireland. Learn how to pass the ball - but not the buck !

Campaigns (such as the save Tara campaigns) may or may not be worthwhile, but they must not be mistaken for Druidry, they must not distract from Druidry - and they must not be allowed to take over from Druidry. When they do you become a campaigner, you cease to be a Druid.
